How GlobalSleeps makes money, and what that does and does not affect.

How we earn
GlobalSleeps is free to use. We do not sell travel ourselves and we do not take payment from travellers. When you click through to one of our partners and go on to book, that partner pays us a commission.
The price you pay is the partner’s own price. Booking through a GlobalSleeps link never costs more than going to that partner directly, and in some cases the partner’s affiliate rate is better than their public one.

Commission does not affect ranking
This is the part that matters most, so it is stated plainly: commission rates are not an input to how we order results.
Our "Recommended" ranking scores accommodation on guest rating, price, review volume, distance from the centre and star rating; flights on price, journey time, stops and connection quality. Those weightings are in the open in our codebase and no commission term appears in either formula. When two partners offer the same property or the same itinerary, we keep the cheaper one — which sometimes means keeping the one that pays us less.
What we disclose and where
Every result card names the partner it will send you to. Every results page carries a disclosure above the listings, and the booking panel on a property page repeats it. We do not hide partner attribution or present partner inventory as our own.
